All About Us
Scent Hurdling UK is a new dog sport in the UK; it's like Flyball but with a sniffy difference!
SHUK was established this year by individuals who came together to offer a competitive sporting opportunity for anyone to become involved and to have fun with friends and family!

Scent Hurdling is a relay race with 4 dogs and their handlers. Each dog in the team jumps 4 hurdles and retrieves a dumbbell which is scented by their handler and returns over the hurdles. Once the dog has passed the finish line the next dog runs! They will be competing against another team running beside them. The quickest team wins!

SHUK provides a national framework and governance structures for Scent Hurdling activities throughout the UK. To attend training, competitions and be an instructor you have to be a member of SHUK.
Scent Hurdling Subscriptions
To be involved with Scent Hurdling, whether you want to train at a club, compete, or be an instructor you have to be a member of SHUK.
You have to register as a handler, this is a recurring payment every 3 years.
Your dog and every dog you compete with has to be registered. After the initial sign up they have a life time subscription to SHUK.
Handler Registration
Join our like minded community. As a handler your registration will repeat every 3 years. 3 years registration is £10 per handler. This gives you exclusive access to any SHUK instructor lead training and competitions.
Once your dog is registered with SHUK they have lifetime access* Registration allows you to train your dog with a SHUK registered trainer and you can compete with your dog at any SHUK approved competition.
